Evening Garden

The ease of the Rose in evening belies the effort required in the garden. Today my grandson and his friend came to help in the garden, pruning the vine maple which had taken the liberty of spreading its luscious green branches until they pressed up against the house and onto the neighbor next door. On ladders and roofs they climbed to curtail its efforts toward the light. Three bins later they folded the ladders, put away the tools, and now the light pours into the window splashing itself across the floor.
