Floral bouquet?

A really good day!  Left the Bay Area this morning and after a stop for petrol went up to Gilroy, known for its huge retail outlet.  Ro bought a pair of shoes and I went for a pair of blue jeans and left with a blouse and two pairs of jeans : grey and faun!
On to Monterey.  While it was boiling in Gilroy 80F it was nearly cold in Monterey.  It's on the coast and a mist comes over from the Pacific blotting out the sun!  The proprietor of this quaint motel is charming and when asked told us about a lovely restaurant.  Our first American steaks!  The butcher's choice cut.  Really full of flavour, grilled asparagus, potatoes and a sauce.....yum!  The steak was rare just as I love it!  Very hard to get really rare steak in England!
So this is Ro waiting for the main course-oh and yes we had wonderful afters!  An oh so light bread pudding for me and Ro had a caramel cream!
This was taken with a fisheye lens and is my contribution to Wide angle Wednesday -floral.  Many thanks go to Thingsbeautiful who is hosting this week!
