Rhine at night

These days I'm only spending time in Basel if I have a visitor. Fiona, fellow CU member and Chemistry student (but in the year below me) has come to see what my life en Suisse is like.

We climbed the cathedral, wandered the old town, went to the fake triple border point, crossed some actual borders into France and Germany, and finally ended the night with something I had never done before: take a cruise across the Rhine!

In a previous blip I wrote about the little boats that use the currents of the river to move back and forth from bank to bank. It was a nice little journey and particularly nice to do at night with the city lit up around us.
