Green and Gold.

Every day I'm determined to live a healthier life and everyday I fail!
So today's new thing is to take Jim out for a walk instead of coming home from work and sitting on the couch eating biscuits. 
We went to Bob's copse and the wheat fields were beautiful. The green and gold was shimmering in the warm sun, and every so often a flock of birds exploded out of the dense green and clattered off into the nearby woods. 

Green and gold
Growing old,
with the seasons passing.
Plaited hair
ebb and flair
with the soft wind blowing.
Waves of corn
Summers morn

with the flocks loud crowing.
