Toothy grin
Calceolaria integrifolia 'Kentish Hero' is a sub-shrubby perennial, but I think not reliable hardy.
Calceolarias were popular bedding plants in days gone by - I remember taking cuttings directly into a cold frame when I worked in the gardens at Holyrood Palace in Edinburgh. In spring we would lift out the rooted plants and transfer them to the garden. That was a dwarf, pale yellow variety.
This one is a rather difficult colour to place, maybe, but very striking. I grow it in a pot and stand it out over summer.
My extra picture today is of yesterday's plant in its place in the garden.
