Copenhagen for cyclists

Didn't take many photos today. Left Copenhagen at the back of 07hr00 for the airport only for the flight to be delayed by two hours...

Snapped this on the way to the station though. One thing that strikes you about Copenhagen are the number of cyclists and the way the city accommodates cyclists.

When we did our cycling sight seeing tour on Wednesday, Mike the Bike, our guide told us there are over 2 million bicycles in Copenhagen, higher than the population, and 50% of Copenhagers commute on bicycle and there are plans to encourage 75% to commute by bicycle.

With all these bicycles you obviously need places to leave them when you've reached your destination and there are places everywhere. I loved the simplicity of this design and also the capacity...brilliant!
