A slice of Lesley's life

Important life lessons

Grandpa teaching Anna to cut a pack of cards. Even though it's not very far, today seemed to be mainly about travelling to Wolverhampton. Probably because we got stuck in a traffic Jane which made me arrive late for a work call and a not so relaxed start to our visit as I had hoped.

Still, a glass of fizz, homemade meatballs and lots of games of cards soon sorted me out.

Cards are such an important part of my family lore; my grandma (dad's mom) always carried a pack with her and you only had to be waiting a couple of minutes for a bus and you'd be playing a game of whist. So it always feels very special when we all play cards together and I love how easily it spans the generations.
