Wall of fly swatters

Another Tuesday at the Erasmus Medical Centre, and another break of a couple of hours between the first and the second check. The hospital is in the museum quarter, so there's actually a choice of places to go to. Today I went to the Natuurhistorisch Museum (Natural History). Good collection on biodiversity, and believe it or not a whole room filled with fly swatters from all over the world, the collection of Iza van Riemsdijk, who got intrigued with fly swatters when she bought her first one as a souvenir from Japan. Showing part of the wall with flower and animal designs, there were 3 more walls filled with them and two glass display cases, one of them full of fly-whisks. As an extra an image of a bunch of really tiny shells for Tiny Tuesday , a collection of turritella communis, common towershells, these ones are not longer than an inch.

I'm just home in Holland now, son will take me back to Belgium tonight, so hopefully I'll be able to comment then.
