Bolton Pew, Holy Trinity, Wensley

This spectacular pew was constructed during the reign of James I. That's between the late Sixteenth and very early Seventeenth Century.
Quite amazing that it has all survived (with a few cobwebs!)
Holy Trinity was built in the 1240's during the reign of Henry III and the south chancel survives almost intact from that period.
The church has had a long association with the Scrope family of Bolton.
