A Diva amongst the Privet
I am not noted for my flower or wild life blips. I ascribe this omission for the most part to living in the centre of a city with only a patio surrounded by a huge expanse of grass and no colourful flowers or wild life within view, save for the occasional sighting of Hoppity, the lonesome wild rabbit or the two resident squirrels.
However today I couldn't resist this showy clematis bursting out of someone's garden in an adjoining street, one of douce tenements and clipped privet hedges. It seemed extra colourful and blowsy among its boring surroundings as if to make a point.
I like to think it was pleased to have its photo taken.
