Routine

We are so fortnunate in this country to have free routine checkups.  It is so important to make the effort and go through with the scans and xrays. I know four women who have suffered, are suffering and one is now terminal with breast cancer. 

Before the evening visit to this mobile xray unit in a supermarket carpark, I went with my neighbour to a Save the Children Garden Open in Thornford, a village near Sherborne. Surrounded with woodland, the borders were full of colour and it was such a pleasure to stroll along the lawns looking at everything.  The charity had nearly 80 people pass through the gates and there were plant and card sales, and of course homemade cakes and cups of tea.
