Millefiori

I bought this small glass Italian paperweight some years ago when I was visiting Venice -- my favourite place in the world.  The tiny flowers inside the globe are made from little glass rods that are bundled together, and then cut to reveal the pattern within.  This method of glass blowing is aptly called Millefiori -- "thousand flowers."
