It is seeming to me that any so-called progress on my house has been 'naught but an illusion', rather than any real progress. Tomorrow I'm to meet up with an insurance agent from Auckland, from the insurance company that lodged the 4th claim on my house and then refused to withdraw it.  It's ironic that I'm finally getting to meet up with them. It should have happened 3 years ago. It's all weird, exhausting and I'd really quite like to jump ship.

Well, Christopher Columbus seemed to have got it sorted. Unfailingly arrive? Really? Seems like a big statement to me. He did stay on the ship though; I haven't read any historical facts about his jumping ship.
