Took the train to London with Mme A and Miss K, then spent the afternoon in the British Museum while Mme A prepared for tomorrow's CKG awards ceremony.

Found some of the highlights and explained to Miss K the English habit of rescuing antiquities, with particular reference to the Elgin Marbles. 

The Lewis chessmen seemed to be missing their friends in Edinburgh: time for them all to return to Scotland?
