Kilmodan

Bright start to the day so we spent some time in the flat before heading out, enjoying the views and watching the gannets diving in the calm waters of the Kyles :-)
Later we headed to Glendaruel and Kilmodan Church to see the carved grave-slabs which date from the late medieval period and also to see if I could see any gravestones from the Ferguson side of my Cowal ancestors.
It is a lovely setting for a church very peaceful :-)
Spotted a gravestone which could belong to one of my ancestors and this lovely headstone with a possible family connection :-)
From here we headed to Colintraive where we hoped to visit the sculpture park unfortunately it didn't open on a Wednesday:-(
Back to Tighnabruaich and a walk out to Blair's Ferry to enjoy the afternoon sunshine :-)
My extra shots are details from the carved grave-slabs and Kilmodan church :-)
