Like Webster's Dictionary...

...we're Morocco bound! As Bing Crosby and Bob Hope once sang.

Whether Bing and Bob would've enjoyed the music at Day 2 of the Africa Oyé festival I really can't say. I, however, enjoyed it immensely!

Highlights today were many but included Diabel Cissokho a kora player and griot from Senegal who has a marvellous multi-national band featuring today's blip subject, Moroccan guitarist Hassan Nainia, who's played with loads of top musicians in his time including former PiL bass legend, Jah Wobble. A cool dude!

We also really enjoyed performances by Lindigo from Rėunion, the Cumbia All Stars from Peru (not strictly an African country but nobody cared, we were all too busy dancing!) and a DJ set from Andy Kershaw.

And, on top of all that, it was a particularly lovely treat to bump into fellow Merseyblipper SJB in the mosh pit!
