Breath Taking
Today was a great day. Me and Dad were out by 10am and had a lovely breakfast at The Creel in Westport. The weather wasnt looking to good, and the rain began. But we decided to go ahead with our plans...
We started driving towards Achill Island and amazingly, the sun came out and the bluest skies appeared. Once on Achill Island we kept stopping along the way, when ever we would see a nice view or a beach.
We had a really nice stroll along the beach in Kreel and it was beautiful. I think my favourite stop off, was when we were arriving towards Achill Head. This is where my photo from today was taken. We were heading towards the beach, when I looked down and saw this. We just had to stop and admire the views from above. It was one of the most amazing views I have ever seen.
After a few more stop offs at Granuailes Tower and Burishoole Abbey, We were a little peckish so went to a lovely little cafe in Newport that Maureen had recommended. It was lovely. After a long day we travelled back to Westport and had a wander around the shops and decided where to have dinner.
Later in the evening, we chose The Tavern for our dinner destination. It was my treat, as a gift to Dad for Fathers Day tomorrow. We then went on a bit of a Bar Crawl. Starting in the Porterhouse, then heading to Matt Malloy's. It was crazy in there, there was a band playing and lots of drunk people singing and dancing. The atmosphere was buzzing, Me and Dad did have a bit of a laugh that we were probably the only Father and Daughter duo in the place. We ended up in the Helm, a perfect way to end an amazing day!
