View to the Four Peaks Range from Geraldine Downs

Another cold start this morning, so after defrosting the car I headed into Geraldine to get a warrant of fitness for the car. 

The guys at the garage had a bit of a backlog, so I thought I'd spend a couple of hours walking up through Talbot Forest to the hills above the township, along the Downs Road.

The views up the top were quite splendid; there's still a bit of snow hanging around the paddocks, as well as up towards the mountains. As I started my descent back down into town halfway through my circuit, I walked down this little gravel side road to get this shot looking out towards Waihi Peak (on the left) and Tripps Peak (on the right).
