NCN Route 1 / Just next to the A90 @ Cramond Brig

0900 - RV with Baz @ a previously arranged bus stop to gather him and his kit for an expedition to Aberdeenshire.

I dropped the boys at their mother's and met up with Barry, armed with sleeping bags, bikes, stove, food, map, midge repellent and we were going to drive to 4 miles short of Braemar; meet the ladies; cycle into Callater Stable (our bpthy base camp for the jaunt); then walk up Carn an t-Saigart Mor. From the summit there are 4 other Munros - two south an two north. Baz had all 5 done, I needed Broad Cairn to complete the set (the furthest of the 2 to the south) and the ladies had not set foot in this part of the world before. So the plan was to do the southern ones and come back to Carn an t-Saigart Mor and then see how time and tide were and consider Lochnagar to the north (via the unpronounceable one)
0910 Such is my devotion to duty, I stopped to take this Cigs as we headed out of town. White pen on grey traffic counter box thingy. Undated on this one but part of the Cigs /Deli rampage of 2014 either to or from S Queensferry as previously documented here.

1625 - Broad Cairn was duly bagged.

1918. Camp fire lit, wine poured, water boiling for pasta.
