Marbled White

We went down to the nature reserve in a nearby village (the one right next to the train line, that regulars will remember scared me half to death a few weeks ago). Again I marvelled at the abundance and diversity of insect life living right next to the railway tracks and within half a mile of a busy duel carriageway bypass. I spotted this little beauty along with several other species of butterfly that I've never seen before, all flitting about in the loveliest wildflower meadow. I will definitely return very soon too see what else I can find there.

We then spent the afternoon finishing the pots and gardening that the rain put paid to yesterday.
Consequently I'm falling behind again, sorry about that but I will catch up very soon :-))
