Health & Safety on the Belgian Railways

Standing on the platform at Brussels Schuman station waiting for the train home, I couldn't help but notice the (electrical) wires hanging perilously above the heads of fellow commuters. The station has been a building site for at least two years as they punch a second tunnel under the European Commission buildings above.

Still, one does wonder if there are enough health and safety inspectors in Belgium that electrical cables can be carelessly looped above the heads of innocent civilians...
