Life with Alice

The Constant Gardener

Because heavy rain is expected over the coming few days (apparently), we changed our schedule and went to the summer house for some lawn mowing. The broken mower had been sent to be repaired, and while we waited for it to be delivered we did some weeding. I helped.

According to mum, the repair man was very nice to drive 20km with the mower on a Sunday afternoon with no notice. According to me, he was a stranger on our turf. I barked from the veranda to no avail.

Later in the afternoon, grandma and grandpa came to visit. We had a great "fika"/coffee time, at the end of which everyone left the table with one sandwich still on it. And me, snoozing on the ground. Well. When they came back, I was standing on the the table and the sandwich was nowhere to be seen. I just want to point out that I was never told explicitly that I could NOT have it. Mum is very embarrassed.

An exciting long walkie tonight with my friends M and W. Running with a thirteen-year-old, that's what I call exercise!
