Last run?
....No - It's a wicket!
We went to the Natwest T-20 Blast between Birmingham Bears and Yorkshire Vikings at Edgbaston. The match I have to say was like watching a 50 over game shortened to 20 overs rather than one of the frantic 20 over matches that we've become accustomed to watching. Both teams scoring more from singles rather than attacking the ball and delivering lots of action and boundaries. Still, it was a great day out despite the cloudy weather with the sun only putting in a random appearance.
I was intending here to catch the last run being scored by The Bears (or Warwickshire as the BBC Website calls them - clearly stuck in the past, much as we know them as we continue to know them as Warwickshire rather than their adopted T20 name). Tim Ambrose just had to score a single with scores level (as can be seen on the scoreboard on the far side of the ground). Instead, I caught his bails spinning through the air as he was bowled Steven Patterson.
I think we should have sat closer to the ten gas powered flame-throwers that they use to signify a boundary. We might have stayed a little warmer, despite the noticeable lack of fours and sixes.
