Beer
We visited the Donkey Sanctuary again this morning, this time we made it to see the Poitu Donkeys, they are a french breed much bigger and with longer coats than a normal donkey. There were a couple of volunteers there grooming the Poitu herd and we chatted for quite some time to them. The Donkey Sanctuary is a very calming place, even Ted, who is very wary of cattle, horses and ponies, is very relaxed around them and enjoys a nose to nose hello with them.
We went on the find the Honey Farm but were disappointed not to be able to see any hives, but I brought some rather lovely honey!
We then went to Beer and had a pub lunch overlooking the sea, crab sandwiches for me, yum yum. Part of the Beech at Beer is dog friendly so we took Ted down for a paddle, he enjoys playing at the waters edge but rarely goes in to swim! He manages to fish very large stones from the sea and looks very pleased with himself!
Weather beautiful again and can't believe the holiday is over, it's gone so fast!
