Busy Sunday in Bardolino

After another good nights sleep, we treated ourselves to egg and bacon is morning, after all it is Sunday!

Then we took ourselves off to the jetty to catch the ferry to Bardolino for the day. It is an hours trip around the top of the peninsula that Sirmione sits on, then across the lake to the opposite side, roughly 2-3 miles across I think.

When we arrived it was extremely busy, with Italians who had come out with their families to spend their Sunday in the sun, on the shores of the Lake. There were lots of small boats, motor boats, speed boats, the odd yacht and of course ferries zipping back and forth between the various stops, so much going on! There were also market stalls all along the waterside selling antiques and restored furniture.

We walked from Bardolino to Garda and sat beside the lake having lunch.......smoked salmon, and prawn salad.....although hub did have a pizza, again! We have got a liking for the local Spritzer Aperul, which has a bitter orangey taste, with fizz, and lots of ice :-)

It got very hot this afternoon, probably 33/4 degrees c, whilst we were waiting for th ferry for our return trip. This blip is of the small harbour in Bardolino, which I think would be much quieter outside of the weekend ;-)

Back at the hotel now, much cooler, need to get ready for dinner.........so cheerio for now.
Been a fun day......again :-)
