Mining Bee

Probably a Halictus scabiosae, which doesn't have an English name. It's a member of the sweat bee family according to Wikipedia.
I'll post it in a Facebook group to make sure.

We all went down to the orchid field for a walk, and we saw lots of orchids, and plenty of insects. After that we went over the road to Les Mielles to look for Cinnabar Moth caterpillars, which we normally find on Ragwort. Unfortunately we didn't see any, but we might be a bit early in the year.
