Edinburgh through the trees

I spent an hour in Inverleith Park today, looking out over Edinburgh and vaguely watching a group of Asian men play cricket.

Then this evening or was party time at Rachel & Ivan's. Megan, Claire and i cycled there with booze and a rose bush in our back packs. Angus decided to stay home and play on the computer. He missed a great night with a fine mix of local musicians playing a good selection of covers. Ivan's sax playing was particularly fine.

The chilli, when it can was delicious, especially with a few drops of Colon Cleaner from Lupe Pinto's.

It started raining and, despite the heat from the fire, people began to drift off. Back on the bikes, safe with hi-vis, helmets and flashing lights. On the final rough descent to Castlecraig I got a flat and had to push the bike the rest of the way. Just as well I'd had enough pastis to keep me happy.
