Fremont Solstice Parade
Friends Seth and Amy are visiting from Vancouver, and have never visited Seattle as adults. They chose a perfect weekend to experience the epitome of Seattle culture, as the Fremont Solstice Festival was today. It is possibly the biggest festival of the summer, and features parade with a naked bike ride where people (mostly) cover themselves in body paint and ride through Fremont. Body paint does, in fact, do quite a good job of keeping things from being too obscene. However, let it be noted that nobody of any age, size, or body types looks good naked on a bike. This photo is of the Fremont bridge (I am not sure why it is blue and orange, but it is a fresh paint job) and you can see the people walking across toward the parade. We sat down by the water enjoying the sun while we waited for the parade to begin.
