Hackberry Emperor

There are so many of these things around just now. This butterfly lays eggs on hackberry trees and when the adults hatch, we sonetimes get swarms. One year the house was literally covered in them. This year there are not as many but they are flying in your face as you go outside.
A hot day today, 97 this afternoon. It is probably here to stay now. It makes it hard on the garden.
