Young Blackbird

The blackbird family which have nested in our back garden hedge have managed to raise two chicks. These are now almost as big as their parents and almost ready to live independently. Whether they survive for very long probably depends on how quickly they become street wise. Right now they are much too friendly and haven't yet learned what a cat is. This youngster was discovered this morning taking his ease on the new deck chair which we only put out there yesterday. He seems to think that this is his personal throne.
