Villa dei Bosconi, Fiesole

On the road again, this time a quite trip to Florence, or more accurately to the European University Institute halfway up the hills to Fiesole. This time I went for a hotel up in the hills, thinking I might get a better night's sleep. The theory was good. The practice less good, because I had reckoned without the place having a mosquito problem.

Pleasant hotel - a bit unreconstructed and old fashioned, and the walls turned out to be paper thin, and the breakfast pretty limited (standard for Italy). But the wifi was sufficiently stable for me to be able to put my vpn on and watch the tennis.
