Swallow

Today's the day ............................ to nest

Not a very good picture because there wasn't a great deal of light under the roof of Platform 2 at Carnforth Railway Station.

You would think that the to-ing and fro-ing of passengers and the noise of the trains whistling through, would have deterred these swallows from building their nest - but it didn't seem to bother them at all.  This one must have had eggs in because the birds took it in turns to sit on them.

Another nest further along had three little heads peeping over the top with wide gaping beaks when Mum or Dad appeared with food .........................
