magic mud

So we finished testing our egg droppers today and a couple of my student brought in a kiddie pool and 50 pounds of cornstarch - which when you mix it with water turns into magic mud. A solid when you apply a force and a liquid when you don't.

So - we filled the pool and then if you run across it, you don't sink but if you just stand you will! It was a ton of fun!
