Buller River at dusk

It's been a rather overcast, damp and depressing Murchison day.  I've been reading about, and looking at photo's on blip from down South, where they had beautiful blue skies and sun.   I'm so jealous!

I ventured out to the Buller River late afternoon and captured this photo.  I thought the river would have been in flood more, especially after yesterday's rain, but was surprised to see how much it had receded during the day.  Have a look at TeeJay's  photo of the Mariua Falls.  The force of the water is amazing!

So I haven't really achieved much today.  A bit of housework this morning.  I baked a sponge this afternoon, put lashings of raspberry jam and cream in it, and invited my in-laws for afternoon tea.  A nice way to spend the afternoon.
