Leucadendron

While I know these plants are not native to Australia, but are from the Proteaceae family, endemic to South Africa, they have been readily adopted by we native plant enthusiasts.  They thrive in our conditions and have made themselves quite at home.  I love the colours that develop over a year, presently showing off their most colourful foliage as they begin to produce their small, protea like flowers.  I particularly love the graceful sweep of the leaves/petals at the head of each stem, from within which the seed head is produced.
