My youngest child has always been lucky. Every school raffle she will always win a prize; this time it's family tickets for Adventure Island. But she wasn't happy. She wanted the Southend United tickets!

I have had so many lovely emails from the school, the PSA helpers and from the parents saying how much they enjoyed the fete today. I always feel a bit of a fraud when I get praise like that. I only organised it; all the helpers did the hard work of running the stalls. I had great fun in the stocks! Absolutely soaked through to my underwear but the time flew past.
