Day of chilling & relaxation;
Yoga, French, guitar, balcony, sunshine, cool drinks, cups of tea, shops, errands, etc etc.
Evening with friends.
Apart from the brightly coloured lamps hanging from many flats, Cairo seems dark, quiet and slightly eerie. It's like a Ghost Town at the moment... I don't recognise it. Sudan Street is empty with no traffic!! Most of the shops are closed. I was walking along Khartoum Street just at Iftar (break of fast) this evening and saw people on the streets handing out drinks to passersby, or sharing food on street corners. It seemed that where anyone happened to be at the time, everyone just stopped, shared and ate...
