Pride and joy
A very slow day at home, apart from a drive to take Mum to the optician's in Corbridge and a tiny stroll to the paper shop.
Mum loves hydrangeas and they grew wonderfully well in every garden she had in Sunderland. I think they like the sea air. Here in Humshaugh, you don't see many in the gardens. We have tried and failed although I think Mum believes that pruning at the wrong time of year was partly responsible (not me I hasten to add)!
She took a cutting and has nutured it indoors. The flowers have been very pretty in a delicate shade of pink. I've been intending to blip them for days.
