Punting on the Isis

A day out today for my friend Max's birthday.

We had a lovely lunch in a Buckinghamshire village called Fingest, then a walk through a beautiful bluebell wood.

After that, we leapt into our cars for a 20 mile run to Oxford where we had tea at Brown's then went punting on the Isis.

Here I am with the pole.  My passenger is Max's brother Harry who is bravely bearing the news that his football team, Manchester City has just been relegated to the Third Division.
