Peranakan peony

One of the super peonies from last week, the originally pink one (long gone now) had a small bud which is opening now. I thought it would look great with my mini Peranakan tea pot, which displays a small phoenix and peonies. Sometimes I can't believe just how many pink things have found a place in my life (and to know I used to be such a tomboy)

Husband took the day off and we went to 3 furniture giants (yes, including Ikea) to find new dining room chairs as our old ones are collapsing after 30 years. From Swedish deal wood to Italian design , we'll have a colourful dining room set up in a month or two :-)
