Mouth of Tyne

A rage of danger upon the sea,
for those on the water, a rage of fear,
as wave after wave comes thundering
against the strong, stone Tynemouth pier!
 
Mouth of Tyne
that spilled out
all those newly fashioned ships,
all that coal,
all those hearts filled with hope

to far flung places.
