holiday...

We're having a couple of days away... possibly the last holiday we'll have where it's just the two of us... so we're staying in a little fishing village called Staithes not far from Whitby... it's a a bit of nostalgia, as our first ever holiday together was in Robin Hoods bay, so this is a nod to early romance without being a revisiting of the same place... it's fairly cold with only glimmers of sunlight, but we do have water, boats, seafood and vintage teashops and cosy pubs with real ale and nice whisky, plus hills so steep that it makes Edinburgh look flat...
