Drive to Bormio

After spending last night in Milan and sleeping late, we joined our British birding group at Linate airport. We're twelve birders (four American) and two guides (one English, one Italian). We headed northeast in two vans for a nearly four hour drive to Bormio, well into the Alps and just east of the Dolomites. This is a typical view on the way (through the windshield from behind the front seats). We're in a broad valley, still more or less on the level, probably an hour-and-a-half to Bormio.  Our hotel offers lovely views, and we enjoyed an excellent dinner. Now to bed.
