Well it had to be!

Anyone who has been following our travels so far will have no doubt realised where we were heading. So here it is:

Niagara Falls

We have been by Lake Ontario and by Lake Erie and this is where they join up.

Despite the number of people and the commercialisation of the place, it is still absolutely astonishing. To see that much water in such a torrent is awe inspiring. And yes I did go on the Maid of the Mist, the boat that goes below the Falls, although it will surprise any of the family who read this, as they know I'm such a wimp when it comes to things like that!

I took many, many photos but most of the obvious ones are so full of spray that the water itself gets obscured. Instead I have chosen to blip the bit that inspired me most - the point at which an unbelievable amount of water goes at an unbelievable speed over the precipice - fantastic.
