This one wasn't.

Just 2 B sure I checked up on it - one ref. said...
"Calendula officinalis – common or pot marigold – is a favourite in British gardens due to its abundant flowering all summer. Although an annual, its efficient seed scattering means it pops up year after year, to a height of 50-75cms, bringing its sunny orange cheer. "
Some time ≥ 1/2 way through last year I found a packet of, possibly, antediluvian seeds. So, working on the theory "It will, or it willn't" I strewed them along the border. 2-3, tops, survived: this one overwintered.
At some point along the way it got "stopped" (Frost, birds, who knows?)
Anyway the result has been a minimum of 8 flowers on the plant, so far.
One "gone over, three in various stages of opening and at least another 4 tightish buds. Not too sure about a possible 5th.
