Industries

As winter summer continues, so does the wind and rain :(  There has been a few dry spells but plenty of heavy showers throughout the day. 

I've been in the office today and no chances of nipping out for photos.  Yesterday's photo snapping has worked out well and that's Northmavine parish stroked off the list :)  I've been busy processing photo orders today and catching up with more scanned photos. 
Been working in the pub tonight and it's been a busy and rowdy night.  The oilmen are getting bad press locally at the moment, after various incidents and then there was a big punch up in one of the chip shops.  No wonder locals don;t feel safe or enjoy going out in Lerwick now, thankfully nothing serious has happened in Scalloway.

I've been looking out my window lately and seeing various oil vessels on the horizon.  The first ship has been here from over a week and now this oil rig thingy has appeared, not sure how long this will be here.  This is taken from Fladdabister, with the old lime kilns in the foreground.  Wonder what the old workers from the kilns would make of these monster ships :)
