More tests ....

to check out 'B's left leg which he is still protecting/lifting up when climbing steps but is absolutely fine walking on a flat surface! Although the Vet cannot find anything wrong clinically with the numerous tests he put him through this morning, and the fact he is completely normal in himself  and eating well, we took his advice and decided an x-ray would be the next best step  to take to make sure there was nothing else causing him to protect his left leg the way he is at present. This will be done on Friday morning as 'B' had already eaten a big breakfast this morning  so of course cannot be given any anaesthetic. Fingers crossed nothing else is wrong but better these things are best checked out rather than worry about them! 
We have noticed if anything comes in the garden such as visiting pigeons he can move very quickly when he wants to and he is pretty sprightly at mealtimes too so its more than likely the injury is still healing and its his way of protecting it!
