Day 11 Thistle and Lady bugs

We began today in the bathing pools of Pagosa Springs, Colorado, and will end the day in Moab, Utah.

We stayed with the kids until Durango, Colorado, with a little visit to Durango Joe's coffee shop. This photo was taken right outside with my first great niece.

These thistles represent the thorny part of saying goodbye and, at the same time, the beauty of our time together. They were covered with lady bugs, and we even saw one in the pupal stage...which we googled to learn more about...a nice way to remember that our life is full of tomorrows that are swelling with hopes and dreams and promises of more good times around every bend.
