Back in Blighty after a few days in France, and today I flew up to Newcastle for the launch drive of the Mazda CX-3.

Over the weekend my Scottish chum Maggie and I had flag wars in the campsite at Le Mans over the Union Jack and the Saltire, playfully competing over whose flags were bigger and higher.

Driving this afternoon in Borders country, I saw this garden scarecrow hedging his bets. Looks like the Saltire is the winner here. Maggie would be pleased about that, and no doubt the fish lady would approve too ...
