Tavistock Hotel

I had an early start of the day again today as I headed to London for the MIB Meeting. I was booked a twin room at Tavistock Hotel and I was lucky enough to be assigned a room not adjacent to the street as I heard cars are pretty noisy at night. The hotel didnt have internet connectivity in the rooms though. That was the only caveat to what could have been a very nice basic hotel.

MIB presentations were quick and short. I couldnt really relate to a lot of topics shared especially that none of them were only focused on optimization of configurations but it was a nice exposure to different studies of both experimentalists and theorists.

Jasmine and I decided to do a quick run to Regent's Park before heading to the restaurant for dinner. We had to walk very fast to get to Regent's Park which was a good 20 minutes from the hotel. As soon as we arrived at a memorial somewhere near London Zoo, we had to run (literally) to the restaurant as it was already 7pm (dinner starts at 7pm as well). We got at the right street without any missed turn but with a few stalls due to pelican crossings. We however walked past 4 blocks from the actual street of the restaurant since we could not see the street name from the side of the buildings due to scaffoldings. We ended up very very late (around 730pm) but was relieved when it wasnt just us who came in late and better since the food wasnt served yet.
